  • Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival
    Welcome to Siem Reap, the provincial capital and gateway to the ancient Angkor temples. Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Angkor Archaeological Park encompasses dozens of temple ruins including Bayon, Banteay Srei and the legendary Angkor Wat. Our guide will meet you at the airport and take you to hotel in the center of Siem Reap, then enjoy the evening at your leisure.
    In the evening, savor the welcome dinner and enjoy the Apsara Dance Show at one of finest local restaurants.

    Day 2: Siem Reap – Full Day Angkor Temples
    Enjoy an entire day dedicated to discovering the mysterious Angkor temples. Wake before dawn and take a tuk-tuk ride to visit Angkor Wat at sunrise. Dawn is one of the most beautiful and haunting times to visit the temples, whose ancient sandstone blocks are gilded gold by the early morning rays. Return to the hotel for breakfast then set back out on a full day temple tour.  Starting with the magnificent Angkor Wat – the largest Khmer temple and finest example of Angkorian art and architecture, we proceed to Angkor Thom’s imposing South Gate, topped with the four serenely smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara. Next, visit Bayon temple, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

    Day 3: Siem Reap – Kabal Spean – Bantaey Srei
    Kbal Spean was the refuge of 11th – 13th century religious hermits and over the centuries they carved lingas stands, animals and sacral friezes into the surrounding rocks and riverbeds. Today, a well-marked path leads up the forested hillside to the central area that contains most of the carvings. The walk takes about 45 minutes. Visitors are rewarded for their effort by a stunning waterfall and rock pools in which to bathe and cool off. In addition to the carvings there is also a variety of fauna at Kbal Spean and the trees and rock pools attract a colorful array of butterflies.
    After lunch drive to Banteay Srei, home to Angkor’s finest stone carvings, followed by Preah Khan (Sacred Sword): one of Angkor’s largest temples, constructed in the 12th century by Jayavarman VII.

    Day 4: Siem Reap – Fly to Mandalay (via Bangkok) – Mandalay Hill
    This morning, transfer to Siem Reap airport for your flight to Mandalay (transit at Bangkok airport). Upon arrival, meet your tour guide and driver.
    In the afternoon, visit Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery – noted for its exquisite woodcarvings and gold leaf beating workshop, Kuthodaw Pagoda – known as the world’s biggest book and finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and a beautiful panoramic view of the city.

    Day 5: Mandalay – Mingun – Amarapura – Sagaing
    Drive to Mandalay pier to embark on a private boat upstream to visit Mingun, famed for its huge and incomplete Pahtodawgyi Pagoda and Mingun Bell, the 90-ton ringing bell (second largest in the world).
    Afterwards, your guide and driver will take you on a short drive. Twenty kilometers outside of Mandalay rests Sagaing Hill. Discover the numerous Buddhist monasteries; visit Buddha Cave, Uminthonze Pagoda and Sunooponnyashin Pagoda. Behold the panoramic view of Mandalay.
    The next stop is Amarapura. Famous for Mahagandaryone Monastery, Amarapura is the best place to experience the way of life for monks in Mandalay. Walk over Ubein Wooden Bridge, the longest teakwood of its type, to Mahamuni Image – a bronze Buddha image castled during the lifetime of Buddha himself.

    Day 6: Mandalay – Fly to Bagan – Sightseeing
    Transfer to Mandalay airport for your flight to Bagan. Start your tour with a trip to the bustling Nyang U Market in Old Bagan then explore the beautiful, gold leaf Shwezigon Pagoda and learn about Burmese Buddhist traditions. We continue our tour with a visit to Ananda Temple, stopping along the way on the Bagan plains to admire some of the surrounding temples. In the afternoon, take a tour of a local lacquer ware workshop and learn how this traditional piece of art is made.

    Day 7: Bagan – Discovery
    Today, start your temple exploration with a visit to Shwezigone pagoda, which is believed to enshrine a bone and tooth of Gautama Buddha to Ananda, Sulamani Temple
    In the afternoon, start your sightseeing day with sightseeing to Minkaba Gubyaukyi temple, experience the architectural difference in MyaZedi pagoda before heading to Manuha Temple.

    Day 8: Bagan – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake
    Leave Bagan for Heho. Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar is located 900 meters above sea level and is home to the Intha people, famous for their one leg rowing technique.
    Upon arrival, board a motorboat for a sightseeing tour to Phaungdawoo Pagoda, famed for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and believed to be the holiest pagoda in Inle Lake. Our next stop is Ngaphechaung Monastery, known as “Jumping Cat Pagoda”. As you travel closer to Nam Pan Village, have a look at cotton and lotus weaving factories and cigar making houses. These sites will give you a true sense of traditional Intha life.

    Day 9: Inle Lake – 5 Day Market – Indein Temple
    This morning, visit the “5 Day Market” which is held in different villages surrounding the lake. This is definitely a fascinating place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and exotic market atmosphere.
    After lunch, the boat will take you to the beautiful temple of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake. It is relaxing to walk along the corridors and enjoy the giant columns that have been left to the nature for centuries.

    Day 10: Inle Lake – Yangon – City Tour
    Leave Inle Lake for your flight to Yangon. Spend a full day exploring Yangon and its highlights from Sule Pagoda, in the heart of Yangon city; Chaukhtayi Pagoda and Kandawgyi Lake. After lunch, discover the most outstanding pagoda in Yangon: Shwedagon Pagoda. The “Golden Pagoda” is really a must see while you are in Myanmar. Enjoy some shopping in bustling Scott market (close on Monday).

    Day 11    : Yangon – Departure
    After breakfast, you are free until your departure time. Our driver will take you to Yangon International Airport for your flight home.
