Day 1: Mandalay Arrival

Upon arrival at Mandalay International Airport, Burma Travel tour guide and driver will welcome you. Now we have the transfer to hotel at city center.  After your refreshment, we start with the bike ride 2-hour visiting Mandalay Palace with the long beautiful walls and the surrounding fortress.

Day 2: Mandalay – Mingun – Amarapura

Breakfast at hotel. This morning we explore by a short ride to downtown. We go along the river and take a boat to Mingun. Our route follows the Irrawaddy River all the way and there’ll be plenty of photos opportunities. In Mingun, we visit the ruins of incomplete Pahtodawgyi Pagoda and Mingun Bell, this 90-ton bell is the world 2nd largest one and still in good condition. Don’t forget to ring it. In the afternoon we go biking to Amarapura. The Mahagandaryone Monastery of Amarapura is one of the most famous monasteries throughout the country. Here you can experience the monks’ life. The next stop is the nearby U Bein Wooden Bridge. In the sunset, we walk over the longest teakwood of its type to Mahamuni Image – a bronze Buddha image castled during the lifetime of Buddha himself.  Late in the afternoon, our support van takes us back to hotel.

Day 3: Mandalay – Monywa

The next highlight of outskirt Mandalay is Monywa. At first, we drive about an hour to Myin-Mu town, go biking around the peaceful villages. This is a pleasant ride on a tarmac road with little traffic as we cycle through the Chindwin Valley. While in Monywa, we explore the unique, ancient Po Win Taung Cave before transferring to hotel in Monywa.

Day 4: Monywa – Bagan

Continue the trip to Nyaung Pin Gyi. Along the way, we enjoy a lot of tranquil villages. This is our chance to relax and interact with the locals. After noon, we head to Bagan.

Day 5: Bagan Discovery

Bicycles are the perfect way to explore the temples of Bagan. We take a ride around the Archaeological Zone in the morning which is the most enjoyable, coolest time of the day. Now we come back to hotel for your own leisure time. In sunset time, we climb to the second highest pagoda of Bagan, the Shwe Sandaw Pagoda for the panoramic sunset view.

Day 6: Bagan – Mt. Popa

Breakfast at hotel, today we reach Mount Popa, an extinct volcano standing 1518 metres high. The site is believed to be home to the ancient Burmese animist spirits. After 777 steps with bare feet to Popa Kalat Monastery at the top, we enjoy the panoramic view of Popa National Park. After the visit, begin biking downhill to Bagan through villages and quiet lanes.

Day 7: Bagan – Fly to Yangon

In the morning we transfer to Nyaung U Airport and fly back to Yangon. Transfer by car back to the city center of Yangon. Now we are in Shwedagon pagoda, the most sacred Buddhism place in Yangon and also the oldest pagoda in the world. This site cannot be missed in tour. The next stop is Sule Pagoda, at the central city. Now we have the stroll to the exotic streets of Yangon downtown with the British Colonial building as Emmanuel Church, Inland Water Buildings. The day ends by your shopping time at the Bogyoke Market (formerly Scott’s market), one of the biggest markets in Yangon. (Be advised that the market is closed on Monday and public holidays).

Day 8: Yangon Departure

After breakfast, you are free until your departure time. Our driver takes you to Yangon International Airport for your flight home.
