Day 1: Yangon Arrival

Mingalabar! Your guide will welcome you at the airport and you driver will take you directly to your hotel.
Your highlight for this evening is dinner in Karaweik Palace, overlooking to the Royal Lake and Shwedagon Tower. A meal of fine Burmese food will be served followed by a beautiful cultural show of music and dancing.

Day 2: Yangon City tour

Our driver and tour guide will pick you from your hotel and take you on a full day trip exploring Yangon and its highlights from Sule Pagoda, in the heart of Yangon city, Chaukhtayi Pagoda and Kandawgyi Lake. In the afternoon, discover the most outstanding pagoda in Yangon: Shwedagon Pagoda. The “Golden Pagoda” is really a must see while you are in Myanmar. The rest of the afternoon, enjoy some shopping in bustling Scott market (close on Monday) and if time is permitted visit the busy street in the china town of Yangon.

Day 3: Yangon – Fly to Bagan – Discovery

This morning, our driver will pick you up and transfer to airport for your flight to Bagan. Meet your guide and driver at Bagan airport and set out for a guided tour to the Bagan Archaeological Zone. Upon arrival, enjoy the exotic horse cart to one of the biggest temple in Bagan: Nan Paya pagoda and many other interesting sites nearby. The highlight of today is the panoramic sunset view from the second highest pagoda of Bagan the ShweSandaw pagoda.

Day 4: Bagan sightseeing

Today, start your temple exploration with a visit to Shwezigone pagoda, which is believed to enshrine a bone and tooth of Gautama Buddha to Ananda, Sulamani Temple
In the afternoon, start your sightseeing day with sightseeing to Minkaba Gubyaukyi temple, experience the architectural difference in MyaZedi pagoda before heading to Manuha Temple.

Day 5: Bagan – Mt. Popa – Drive to Kalaw

Leaving the Bagan temples behind, we begin the drive to Mt Popa. Join the pilgrims as they ascend Mt Popa and admire the crazy statues that line the walk along with the monkeys that live on the mountain. Once at the peak guests can relax and bask in the glorious views of Bagan. After that, we drive to Kalaw.

Day 6: Kalaw – Pindaya – Nyaung Shwe

After breakfast, drive to Pindaya through the picturesque countryside of the Shan State. Visit Pindaya’s limestone cave with its maze of chambers displaying more than 8,000 Buddha statues and local handicraft workshops producing Shan paper made from mulberry bark. They also make traditional umbrellas made from the same paper that are used by monks all around the country.
In the afternoon, we drive to Nyaung Shwe. Spend your night here.

Day 7: Inle Lake Discovery

This morning, you will visit the 5 days market which is hold in different villages surround the lake. This is definitely a fascinating place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and exotic market atmosphere.
Then, take a sightseeing tour to Phaungdawoo Pagoda, famed for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and believed to be the holiest pagoda in Inle Lake. Our next stop is Ngaphechaung Monastery, known as “Jumping Cat Pagoda”. As you travel closer to Nam Pan Village, have a look at cotton and lotus weaving factories and cigar making houses. These sites will give you a true sense of traditional Intha life.
After lunch, the boat will take you to the beautiful temple of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake. It is relaxing to walk along the corridors and enjoy the giant columns that have been left to the nature for centuries.

Day 8: Heho – Fly to Mandalay – Mandalay Palace

Our driver will take you to the airport for a flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival to Mandalay International Airport, our guide and driver will be waiting for you outside the baggage area to transfer you to the hotel in the city center.  Mandalay, a city founded in 1857 as the capital by King Mindon. The Mandalay Palace boasts finely built regal walls and a beautiful moat surrounding her fortress. Mandalay is the principle center for Buddhism studies in Myanmar.
In the afternoon, visit Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery – noted for its exquisite wood carvings, gold leaf beating workshop, Kuthodaw Pagoda – known as the world’s biggest book and finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the panoramic view of the city.

Day 9: Mandalay – Amarapura – Mingun

In the morning, drive to Amarapura. Being famous for Mahagandaryone Monastery Amarapura is the best place to experience the monk life in Mandalay. Every day at mid-morning, monks and novices line up silently to receive their daily offering of alms and food from faithful Buddhists.
Next, drive to Mandalay pier, embarking on a private boat upstream to visit Mingun, famed for its huge and incomplete Pahtodawgyi Pagoda and Mingun Bell the 90 tons ringing bell.
End of day, walk over Ubein Wooden Bridge, the longest teakwood of its type to Mahamuni Image – a bronze Buddha image castled during the lifetime of Buddha himself.

Day 10: Mandalay – Fly to Tachileik – Cross border to Chiang Khong

Today, transfer to Mandalay airport where you take your flight to Tachileik.
Upon arrival, make your own way to Tachileik/Mae Sai border gate (taxi is cheap and easy to catch at the airport). Cross the border to Mae Sai, Thailand, where your driver is waiting for you in Thailand side and take you to Chiang Khong for overnight

Day 11: Chiang Khong – Houei Say – Pakbeng

Wake up in the early morning, 07.00 AM our driver will take you to Chiang Khong border gate. After clearing the immigration, meet your guide in front of the Huoei Say Border in Laos at 8.00 AM. Your guide and driver will pick you up for a boat to Pakbeng. The boat leaves slow boat pier at 9 AM for cruising down the Mekong River to Pakbeng Lodge. One stop is made en route to Pakbeng to observe a rural life along the Mekong River at Ban Houei Phalam; a Kamu village. A lunch is served on board. The boat arrives at Pakkbeng Lodge before sunset for an overnight stay and a dinner is served on the terrace overlooking the Mekong River.  Overnight in Pakbeng

Day 12: Pakbeng – Pak Ou – Luang Prabang

A continental breakfast is served on the terrace from 7AM. The boat leaves Pakbeng Lodge at 8a.m. and the first stop is at Ban Baw village to observe the process of making traditional rice alcohol. A buffet lunch is served on board. The boat stops again opposite the mouth of the Nam Ou River to visit Pak Ou caves where there are two caves ‘Tham Ting’ and ‘Tham Phoum’ and thousands of Buddha images. The boat arrives in Luang Prabang at Wat Xieng Thong pier (a UNESCO world heritage city) before sunset. Take you to the hotel.
The remainder of the day is spent at your leisure, relaxing in one of the city’s many quirky cafés or strolling along the beautiful riverbank.

Day 13: Luang Prabang City Tour

Luang Prabang is known for its numerous Buddhist temples and monasteries. Witness the morning ritual by hundreds of monks from the various monasteries as they walk through the streets collecting alms.
After partaking in an alms ritual, we will visit the former king’s palace, which is now a museum. The many items nicely displayed include rare furniture, traditional costumes, arts, jewelry, ornaments as well as working tools and utensils of the early part of the 20th century. Then we embark on a tour of this enthralling town to visit Wats Xieng Thong, the Golden City Monastery, which dates back to the 16th century and is considered to be the finest in Laos. Furthermore, we visit the fine temples of Wats Mai, Vixoun, and the national Stupa of That Luang. The rest of the day we will visit Phusi mountains with ascending the 328 steps to the top that offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding rivers and cityscape before wandering through the bustling Hill tribe Market for traditional textiles and handicrafts made by the hill tribes.

Day 14: Luang Prabang – Hill tribe villages – Kuang Si Waterfall

After breakfast, our tour guide and driver will come to your hotel, you will visit the morning Phosi Market where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit the Ban Ouay, Hmong Hill tribe, Ban Ou, Lowland Lao and Ban Thapene of Khmu village. Continue driving to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall where you can splash around in the pools or walk along the forest paths, return to Luang Prabang and rest of the time at leisure

Day 15: Luang Prabang Departure
