Day 1: Yangon Arrival

Mingalabar! Upon arrival in Yangon, you are welcomed by our guide and driver. Your first Myanmar visit begins at Shwedagon pagoda. It is the most sacred Buddhism place in Yangon and also the oldest pagoda in the world. The pagoda cannot be missed in your city tour.

Day 2: Yangon – Bagan sightseeing

Today we have an early morning flight to Bagan, the archaeological wonderland of over 3,000 ancient temples. Now we explore the beautiful Shwezigon Pagoda with the interesting knowledge of Burmese Buddhism.  Follow up is a visit to Ananda Temple (one of the finest, largest and best preserved in Old Bagan). Along the way we stop by some surrounding temples. Another highlight of today is the panoramic sunset view from the second highest pagoda of Bagan, the Shwe Sandaw Pagoda.

Day 3: Bagan Sightseeing – Sunset cruise

After breakfast, we start the day at Nyaung U Market where you have great chance to meet and talk with the friendly locals. Then we visit Nan Paya Pagoda, one of the biggest temple of Bagan. On this day, we enjoy the unique experience of a horst cart ride, head to Minkaba Gubyaukyi Temple, and continue your day to Manuha Temple. The last stop for this sightseeing day is a local lacquer ware workshop and learn how this traditional piece of art is made. We’ll end our day by enjoying a beautiful sunset cruise on Ayeyarwaddy River.

Day 4: Bagan – Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay Hill

After the flight from Bagan to Mandalay, we head to Mandalay pier, embarking on a private boat upstream to visit Mingun. Now we get ready for the incomplete Pahtodawgyi Pagoda. Head to Mingun Bell, 90-ton bell which is the world 2nd largest one and still in good condition. Don’t forget to ring it. In the afternoon, we head to Mandalay Palace – the last royal palace of the last Burmese monarchy and Shwenandaw Monastery – the single remaining major original structure of the original Royal Palace today. Proceed to Kuthodaw Pagoda, a Buddhist stupa that contains the world's largest book. If time permits, we have a visit to the gold leaf beating workshop. Finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and the panoramic view of the city.

Day 5: Mandalay – Sagaing – Amarapura – Yangon

After breakfast, we drive a short way from city to Sagaing Hill with its highlights from Budda Cave, Uminthonze Pagoda, Sunooponnyashin Pagod. We then have the drive to Amarapura. The Mahagandaryone Monastery of Amarapura is one of the most famous monasteries throughout the country. Here you can experience the monks’ life. We reach the nearby U Bein Wooden Bridge, walking over the longest teakwood of its type to Mahamuni Image – a bronze Buddha image castled during the lifetime of Buddha himself. Afterward we leave Mandalay for flight back to Yangon. Upon arrival, pick-up and transfer to your hotel for check-in.

Day 6: Yangon Departure

Spend a half-day exploring Yangon and its highlights from Sule Pagoda, an important Yangon landmark centrally at the bustling area. Now we have the stroll to the exotic streets of Yangon downtown with the British Colonial building as Emmanuel Church, Inland Water Buildings. If time permits, we pass by Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda housing the fourth largest colossal 70 meters reclining Buddha. The day ends by your shopping time at the Bogyoke Market (formerly Scott’s market), one of the biggest markets in Yangon (Please be advised that the market is closed on Monday and public holidays).
