Can I use US dollars or do I need local currency?

You should bring BRAND NEW USD NOTES (no fold or any mark on it) and exchange into local currencies at airports/hotels. On your arrival, our people will help you with money exchange for your personal expenses there.
You can also withdraw money from ATMs. Debit/Credit cards are also accepted at hotels/restaurants in big cities.
Note: Euro is not popular so don’t bring them.

The Burmese Kyat (MMK) is the currency of Myanmar (Burma).

Banknotes – Frequently Used: K1, K5, K10, K20, K50, K100, K200, K500, K1000, K5000, K10000.

When is the best time to go to Burma?

The best time to travel to Burma is from October – March (high season). The weather is pleasant, dry and not too hot.
The wet season from June until early October.
The hottest time of year is between April & June when temperatures of 40°C are not uncommon.
However, traveling during summer season (April – September) will be much cheaper as most of hotels offer very good promotions and you can avoid big tourist groups.
